During the 8th edition of Carl Film Forum the inauguration of the Karlskrona Blue Port Studios took place to signal the upcoming transfer from being a research project to establish a Virtual Production Studio Lab to become a more operational environment for creative industries.

The project partners BTH Vice Chancellor Henric Johnson, Municipality of Karlskrona with Emma Swahn Nilsson, and Region Blekinge with Sophia Ahlin joined the initiators Professor Tobias Larsson and Regional Film Commissioner Henrik JP Åkesson Ruben for the inauguration.
